Club Meeting -- May 25, 2007

With President Dick Carter at the helm of a
Club Assembly, there were plenty of strokes for folks,
but that Happy Pig got his warmest embrace!

Finemaster Steve Serdahely's romp through
state capitals was a lot of fun,
and John Forenti knew every single one!

Irena cracked a really good funny, but that
didn't stop Howard from getting her money.

There were lively discussions of what we liked
best,
ranging from interviews with each other, to ticket-sales quests.

And there were the lovely lively moments that
spark us towards the goal,
The bright and beautiful refreshments,
for both body and soul!
20th Anniversary Gala -- May 18,
2007

There was a festive mood in the air, and a
very full house!

And a couple of great Americans were seen
swapping stories.

In addition to friends and family from all
over, we were delighted to have eight
Rotary past presidents in attendance, who were honored with special designation
badges.

Dick Soule created a DVD slide show of
highlights of our Club,
which ran continuously during the festivities, on Joel Crocket's laptop.
Vive Le Technology!

Margaret Joy was marvelous as visiting
Finemaster, and her raffle basket was filled with fun,
along with caviar, fine spirits, and hand cuffs!
John Fox had the winning ticket, and we hope he'll give us a full report next
week!!

Beautiful ladies in abundance, and great
Rotary smiles!

The food was fantastic and presented with a
flourish,

with two kinds of treats for dessert!

Even when the party ended, the afterglow
lingered on, with Silvia beaming brightly,
and Cliff displaying a fine Trojan spirit.

The President and His Lady, enjoying the
moment....
with our grateful thanks for a wonderful occasion!
Academic Awards Luncheon -- May 11, 2007

The Community Center was bursting with pride
as 20 students received awards
and savings bonds in honor of their exemplary academic achievements this
year.

Proud parents, guardians, friends and
supporters joined the capacity crowd to honor our scholastic stars.

While behind the scenes Donna Blum ran the
kitchen like a pro, with great organization and lots of good cheer,
and she even found a good man to join the ladies.

As the buffet table was made ready, Irena
graced us with music to delight the heart.

Doug welcomed everyone, and Dick did the
honors along with school principals greeting high achievers.

Dick added a touch of special encouragement
along with each award.

There was a lot of beauty in the smiles and
the achievements,
and in the whole Club working together to make it a success for the community.
This beautiful baby girl was the youngest one in attendance,
but in a few years, we expect she'll be receiving an award of her own!
Club Meeting -- May 4, 2007

A cheerful group gathered for some hearty
laughs, and another great meeting.

Doug gets us organized, and Paulie shares her
joy in seeing her Rotary Brotherhood friends again.

Finemaster Irena coaxed our brains to work
crossword puzzles, and filled the room with chuckles.

Our visiting team of delegates from Mexico
were inspirational, and charming.

And we were all proud of Dick for his
excellent remarks in Spanish.

Muy Bueno!

What a delight to experience the international
aspect of Rotary in action, right here at home.
