Kick Out Party
June 29, 2007

We gathered at the Del Mar Center House at The
Sea Ranch,
to celebrate a wonderful year of Rotary Service Above Self, splendidly led by
President Dick Carter,
with the gracious assistance of the very bodacious Nancy Carter.

We began with laughter and libations, as we
tickled the funny bone and entered the fun zone.
Irena and Dick were in fine form all the while, and Mary, R.C. and Tina, gave
the camera a smile.
Two lucky Rotarians have wives named Nancy,
so they can switch, without getting fancy.

Rosemary came by to thank Dick and the Club,
and couldn't get away without many a hug!
She adds a sparkle wherever she goes, and we felt the tingle right down to our
toes.

Hearty congratulations greeted the
presentation of Klaus Heinemann's
Paul Harris Fellowship award. His achievement of the advanced
Double Safire Level is an inspiration, and "does us proud!".

After a great BBQ meal, we took on dessert
with a passion.
Cliff had the right idea, with a plate full of chocolate, and R.C. even
brought us homemade chocolate ice cream!

And the evening's entertainment was just as
sweet and rich!
That's Mike Combs adopting his military style to the role of Marilyn Monroe,
sashaying with one hand on his hip, and making us squeal with delight.

Bill Johns brought Dick up on "legal" charges,
and generated more laughter than the law allows.
Joel Crockett conducted a funny, rowdy roasting of some of Dick's more memorable
attributes.

Local paparazzi had selected the Press Corps'
favorite photo of Dick
(enhanced by the loveliness of Nancy) which had been taken at the Jazz Party.

Dick responded by letting us know what happened after the picture was
taken,
and the post-party details were a hoot!

When the whole Club serrinaded him with Mike's
custom-made lyrics to the country tune
"It's Hard to be Humble" he broke out laughing, and then actually howled with
glee.

Everywhere you looked, the "joint was jumpin"
with good-lookin' women

Studmuffins too,

and a huge appreciative round of applause for
Irena,
our member with the most seniority.... 20 years!

With eyes wide-open, we took it all in and
flat out enjoyed ourselves!

Who could resist the 'foot candy'...
and the beaming smiles...

and the sweet hugs...

and snuggles...

that headed toward smooches...

and got downright energetic, at the end of the
evening!

The Legend Lives!
This Club knows how to party!
